Saturday June 17 Olive Ridley’s 8PM The Paul Deslauriers Band with Anwar Khurshid.  “East meets West” show.   A special double musical performance by the Paul DesLauriers Band & sitatrist Anwar Khurshid. This will be a East meets West concert of Blues melded with Indian Classical music.    Paul Deslaurier is known as Canada’s best blues guitarist and his band (Band of The Year at the 2017 Maple Blues Awards) will be performing with Anwar Khurshid, the master of the sitar (composer and performer of the Life of Pi) together doing music that transcends continents and cultures.  Together with acoustic guitar and sitar they will take you on a sensual, spiritual and worldly journey from New Delhi to the Mississippi Delta in a show of strings that will transcend and wow’s  you with musical joy.   Then a special second set will be a blues-rock show with the award winning Paul Deslauriers Band to dance the night away with their original material.  2017 Maple Blues Awards winner of “Band of the Year”, ” Entertainer of the Year” Greg Morency, Bass Player of the Year, Sam Harrison Drummer of the Year and second place winning Band of the 2016 International Blues Competition.  Show is 18 dollars in advance, 15 dollars at he door for both sets and a special door only 8 dollar second set only price starting at 9:30 pm.  Cool Free Offer, if you purchase an advance ticket you get a FREE 7 song CD sampler of the PDB at the door!
