Plattsburgh Blues and Jazz is excited to present Canada's premier folk blues band, The Durham County Poets, at Olive Ridley's on March 2nd. Join us for an afternoon of live music from 2 PM to 4 PM.
Formed in Ormstown, Quebec, The Durham County Poets have earned a strong reputation and growing popularity over the years. Each band member contributes to the writing and arrangement of the music, bringing their own unique flavor to the mix. As a result, their sound blends blues, folk, soul, gospel, and R&B, creating a contemporary yet authentic experience. Kevin Harvey has a pure and superlative vocal style.
They have been nominated for several Maple Blues Awards and a Canadian Folk Music Award, including Male Vocalist of the Year, and received a Juno nomination for their 2019 release, "Hand Me Down Blues." Their latest album, "Out of the Woods," has received significant attention topping several "Best Album of the Year" lists for 2022.
